Jana’s favourite recipe

Start your day right (and with a delicious breakfast)!

Since the beginning of the Corona period, I have basically worked from home all the time. Rituals help me to get through the working day in a good (and healthy) way, and breakfast is one of them! It's very important to first have breakfast, and only then start or continue working! You should not avoid eating and working at the same time—a meal should be a real break for you.

My two absolute breakfast favourites:

Boost-your-freshness bowl—a simple and fast recipe

Put yoghurt, quark and/or milk in a breakfast bowl (no matter which variant you choose; soy, oat, rice or almond products will also work). Add chopped fruit—or fruit purée if you are in a hurry—and last but not least: muesli, nuts, seeds... You can add other ingredients according to taste or availability. I personally prefer ground flaxseed and a nut mix.

Home-baked sourdough bread—needs some handiwork and time

Baking your own bread: this has become a trend again during the Corona pandemic. You definitely need a bit of extra patience for this—but it is worth it! I am fortunate enough that my husband bakes 1–2 loaves every week, so sandwiches with cottage cheese, cucumber and tomato slices are my second breakfast tip (of course, you just garnish them with whatever you like best).
