Unfortunately, we have to inform you that our cargo bike is no longer available for hire for the time being. The manufacturer Babboe has not provided the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority with sufficient information to confirm that there is no safety risk when using the cargo bikes. The company therefore advises that the cargo bikes should no longer be used until further notice. We hope that the company will find a solution to this incident in the near future.
The topics of back health, ecological footprint and financial hurdles also affect our students. In order to be able to influence this, the Student Health Management has purchased a cargo bike that can be borrowed free of charge by all students at Friedrich Schiller University. The cargo bike can be used for various purposes such as moving into a shared flat or a day full of activities. Just contact us!
You can also use the cargo bike to transport your beverage crates from the supermarket back-friendly to your home, transport bulky classified ads purchases or bring sports equipment for you and your friends to Paradiespark.
Even if a comprehensive automated registration procedure could not yet be installed, it was very important for us to create simple and manageable access as quickly as possible. To do this, simply contact our team by email stating the desired period of use, the reason for borrowing and the time of collection and return. There is always a handover with instructions on how to operate it.
