Kick Off

For students, the start of their studies marks the beginning of a new phase in their lives. Often they are new to the city and have yet to find the right connection. The introductory days at the respective institutes offer students the opportunity to make initial contacts. The foundation for a social network is laid. It is not uncommon for these very encounters to accompany students throughout their entire time at university, and friendships can develop that last for years.

The Kick Off also offers a good start to a new semester. After a long period without lectures, during which students have hardly seen each other, it is perfect to start with a group event from which they can benefit for the whole semester.

At the USV Jena Kick Off, fear of contact is easily overcome through intensive getting-to-know-you processes.

The students will be able to draw on their shared experiences for quite a while.

Trust and cooperation are trained through challenging outdoor activities. Communication and cooperation skills are taught, which can later be very helpful for group work, study groups, etc., as well as for private contacts.

The "Student Health Management" (SGM)External link of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena supports your KickOff event financially! The aim of the SGM is to strengthen the health resources of the students - team training offers an ideal opportunity to train individual and social skills.

Notice

The four-hour offer is available for groups of 6 people or more. You have a choice of different outdoor activities.

With the restructuring of the German degree programmes into Bachelor's and Master's programmes, the teaching of vocational competences in the degree programme has been significantly upgraded. The term "employability" as an educational goal is a central anchor point in the study concept of the reform process.

Students should learn to focus more on their own abilities and skills based on their professional, social and methodological competences, and thereby promote their self-management. This self-management is increasingly necessary in times of changing work environments, as a development from rigid employment relationships to flexible project-based employment with less time and place commitments has already begun.

Trust and cooperation are trained through challenging outdoor activities. Competences in the field of communication and cooperation are taught, which can later be very helpful for team work as well as for private contacts.
